everwave is a platform that has been built with collaboration top of mind. Creating music in a new way, and being part of a thriving music-loving community. everwave offers you a chance to collaborate creatively with other Musicians and Producers, get rewarded in $WVE for creating (the Creativity Reward), and lets music fans purchase the outcome, giving you and the other collaborating Musicians and Producers an equal split in revenue - all transacted transparently on the Solana blockchain.

What is a Wave?
A Wave is our name for a music+visual project. The music side of it is a fully original creation - the outcome of a collaborative creative process. It starts with the first draft of a musical idea (the Origin Version), inspiring Musicians to contribute elements. Producers then use those elements to build new productions (Versions), setting new directions for the Wave and inspiring other Musicians to make new contributions. This creative process reiterates like a creative feedback loop between Musicians and Producers, as long as a Wave is open. The visual aspect of each Wave is an original 3D-art object which reacts to the music in real time. In that way, each Wave will have a completely unique visual, since each piece of music will be unique unto itself.

Why should I join as a Producer?
everwave offers Producers a chance to work with an eclectic mix of global artists in a new and exciting way, giving them creative control over the wave while being rewarded for it, in equal parts with the Musicians. Every Producer is welcome to take a Wave in literally any direction they’re inspired to go, knowing that the stems they use will dictate who, along with the Producer themselves, receives the $WVE token Creativity Reward and future revenue splits of Versions contributed to.

How can I contribute to a Wave?
Any DAO-member registered as an Artist may choose to interact with a Wave either as a Musician or as a Producer (this role is fixed per Wave, meaning you can be a Musician on one Wave, and then a Producer on another), and then decide to contribute by adding new original parts (Musicians), while the Producers will produce different Versions within the Wave. Anyone can listen to the current Wave(s), streaming via the webapp. Once approved as an Artist, if a Version sparks inspiration, download that Version and record your original parts on your own DAW. Upload your stems to the platform and now Producers will have access to your contribution for their new Version iterations.

How do I earn with everwave?
The first value tooling is the Creativity Reward, paid out in $WVE tokens to all Artists who successfully contribute to a Wave. Every finished Wave will be offered in our marketplace as an NFT. The community (all $WVE token holders) get to vote on their favorite Versions within the Wave, which then go on to become individual Version NFTs called Ripples. All revenue from NFT sales goes to the smart contract for that Wave and gets paid to the specific collaborators on that Wave or Ripple. The Ripples then get released on streaming platforms, and will also be available for potential sync and licensing. All ‘off-chain’ revenue will be converted to $WVE and distributed through our smart contract, paying out to collaborators on that specific Ripple.

What is the Creativity Reward ?
We believe that the mere act of creativity has value and should be recognized. The Creativity Reward is our solution to reward the creative process before any marketplace dynamics take place (ie those requiring a buyer and seller). Every new Wave will have its own smart contract with an allocation of $WVE tokens assigned to it. When a Wave closes, every successful contributor (any Musician who has at least one of their contributed stems used in a Version, and any Producer who has contributed a Version) gets added to the smart contract and receives an equal split of the $WVE tokens assigned to that Wave. $WVE tokens can then be held or will be able to be exchanged/cashed out once there are liquidity pools available on Solana-based-DEXs.

Music rights are traditionally contentious and we’ve built everwave to offer a whole new model. Stems by Musicians are contributed to everwave under a non-exclusive, perpetual, gratis license. Musicians are free to use their own stems outside of everwave. Versions created by Producers are owned by everwave DAO, which in turn is owned by everyone holding $WVE token, by default including the Musicians and Producers who create on everwave. The assets are owned collectively. The revenue goes to the Artists specific to each asset.
